Attorney Janina Botchis is a zealous advocate for the rights of children with special needs and their families. Whether the matter involves resolving placement issues, requesting an IEE, filing for due process and attending mediation, or negotiating services from the school district, Ms. Botchis will always work to ensure that all of your child’s needs are being met.

While externing at the District Attorney's Office, Ms. Botchis was called-upon to assist a family member in obtaining services from their school district. It was because of this personal introduction to the IEP Process that Ms. Botchis committed herself to making the road easier for other families. Following law school, Ms. Botchis volunteered at The Alliance for Children's Rights, an agency that helps children in foster care obtain services from their school district. In private practice, Ms. Botchis has represented children and their families in educational matters by attending hundreds of IEPs and filing dozens of due process complaints during her years of practice throughout Southern California.

Mrs. Botchis completed her undergraduate work at Wesleyan University and received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School. Ms. Botchis is licensed to practice law in the state of California. While a law student, Mrs. Botchis externed at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, Domestic Violence Division, and the Los Angeles City Attorney's, Special Crimes Unit.
